The Gamma-Tau Chapter is supporting the Kappa Sigma Fraternity Military Heroes Campaign this spring with two events in Boulder. Alumni are welcome to join or support both events:
Go Ruck Challenge
Kappa Sigma brothers from across Colorado are joining together in Boulder on Saturday April, 15 for a Go Ruck Challenge, benefiting Veterans Moving Forward. VMF is an organization that trains and places service dogs with veterans in need. The specialized training for the dogs can be costly, so the Rocky Mountain District of Kappa Sigma is aiming to raise $40,000 through donations and event registration fees to pay for the training and placement of one dog.
The Go Ruck Challenge is military-style course, which will wind about 7 to 10 miles through Boulder and last about 4 to 5 hours. Participants will wear either a 10 or 20 pound ruck sack and be guided through physical team challenges organized by Special Forces veterans.

2nd Annual Pyro Memorial 5K
The CU Boulder Air Force ROTC is hosting a 5K on Sunday, April 23rd in honor of USAF Capt. William H. "Pyro" DuBois, a distinguished F-16 pilot who was killed in action in 2014 on a mission supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Capt. DuBois was an initiate and founding member of the Gamma-Tau Chapter's reorganization in 2007. Members of the chapter will be volunteering for and participating in the race on the CU campus, starting at 10 am.
Registration fees and donations benefit Pyro's Wings Foundation, a scholarship benefiting Air Force ROTC cadets.
