DAVID RANDY WEEKS

DONATION PROCEEDS WILL GO TO DCPA AND TO RENOVATE “RANDY’S ROOM” IN THE CHAPTER HOUSE.
We are proud to announce our fundraising campaign for the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and to renovate “Randy’s Room” in the Chapter House to be restored with photos and memorabilia from Randy’s time at Gamma-Tau.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the passing of Brother David “Randy” Weeks. Known as the “Mr. Broadway of Colorado,” Randy began his theater career as a CU Boulder student, taking a box office job at the Denver Center For the Performing Arts in 1978. He went on to serve as Executive Director of DCPA for almost a decade.
Randy was revered by all Brothers of the Gamma-Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma. A developer of young men, he inspired Brothers to be their very best. He coached and cajoled them toward better behavior, seeking to enlighten and reform with his wisdom. And when “the boys,” as he called them, inevitably erred, he offered understanding forgiveness, and second chances.
Randy served as Housing Board President and took care of the Kappa Sigma House as if it were his own. Generous with his time, his finds, and his energy, he would do he thought would make the House more inviting and comfortable. He loved the house and what it stands for: brotherhood, camaraderie, and meaningful memories.
“It is unquestionable that Randy left an indelible mark on Denver, Colorado, and the national theater community,”
