Register for Capt. William “Pyro” Dubois Memorial 5k, 4/16/16

The Gamma-Tau Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity would like to invite alumni and members of the CU Boulder community to participate in the CU Air Force ROTC's first annual Pyro Memorial 5k Run/Walk, on Saturday April 16, 2016 at CU Boulder.

Captain William H. "Pyro" DuBois was a 2008 graduate of University of Colorado at Boulder in Aerospace Engineering and Air Force ROTC Detachment 105. He attended the Air Force's elite fighter training school, Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Traing where he was selected as an F-16 pilot. He deployed with his squadron to the Middle East in support of Operation Inherent Resolve where he lost his life in a crash on December 1, 2014. He was 30 years old.

Capt. Dubois was an influential founding member and 2007 initiate of Kappa Sigma. He was an exceptional brother and student during his time at CU. The undergraduate members of the chapter will be honoring Capt. Dubois' service by volunteering for the race, as part of the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign.

Proceeds from the race benefit Pyro's Wings Foundation and the scholarship created in his name that supports cadets as future pilots and defenders of freedom in the USAF.
